Aero Garden...

I wanted to get one of those little inside gardens to grow some herbs so Scott bought me the"Aero Garden" which I started on March 3rd. The plants have already started to pop up and it's been really exciting to see them get bigger day after day. We decided to grow herbs (you have a choice) since we use them in cooking. I'm anxious to see how big the plants will actually get. Here's a couple of pictures.....can't wait until we start harvesting!

The aero garden! I love it! Way to follow the prophets counsel on keeping a garden! Fresh herbs, that's awesome! What all have ya decided to grow? Basil, Oregano, Cilantro, Rosemary????

There are only six holes that are spouting plants. They include, basil, dill, mint, oregano, thyme, and chives. The chives don't seem to be spouting at all...but it sure smells like onions when you lift up the dome that's on top. It's amazing, the plants have gotten even bigger just since I posted the post! I'm looking at also the "Topsy Turvy" tomato tree....yep, we need to follow the counsel of growing gardens! I love it, it's so much fun!!

Well don't plant rosemary or it will take over your kitchen, I'm not kidding! We have a couple of Rosemary plants Stan planted and they are now large shrubs. We could make lamb chops for the entire city and still have it left over. Pretty much the same with mint. It and rosemary are two plants even we can't kill. We did the Topsy Turvy last year. It works really well for cherry tomatoes, but it got pretty heavy with the bigger ones. And they weren't huge tomatoes. I always wondered if the aero garden worked, It looks like it should.

I posted a long comment yesterday, but it didn't show! Anyways, I always wondered how well those aerogardens worked. Don't ever try planting rosemary unless you have a huge space for it. We have two plants of it which have turned into large ornamental shrubs, enough to marinate lamb chops for the entire city...One of the only two plants we can't kill, the other being mint

I want to plant some rosemary sometime but the package didn't come with it in the box. I love the little Christmas trees that they have made out of rosemary. And love the fragrance too!
